CLASSES & DESCRIPTIONS
OUR POPULAR CLASSES
Classes must be canceled within 8 hours of the start of class. Please be mindful of this policy and cancel at least 8 hours before the class.
We have a three strikes policy per year. After your third missed class, participants who do not cancel and/or are no-shows will be assessed a $5 fee.
We use this fee to help maintain the instructor’s salary and thank you for your understanding with respecting our policy..
Barre Ballet Conditioning
A ballet dancer’s workout, consisting of low-impact full-body conditioning to tone and lengthen all muscle groups. We will work on strengthening with small isolated movements and then stretching to achieve long, lean muscles. The most important asset to a strong dancer is a strong core, so emphasis will be placed on upper and lower abs and back muscles. Both floor work and barre work are incorporated, so please bring a mat with you to class. All levels welcome
Get the ballet body and mindset with this 45-minute power barre class that gets your body burning maximum calories throughout the class. The class, which will strengthen, lengthen, tone, and condition all muscle groups, blends classic ballet moves with cardio and weight training to provide for a high energy, low impact workout that focuses on the body’s natural postural strength, alignment, and flexibility. You can be the Black Swan if you want to be. No dance background required. Please bring your own mat for this class. . All levels welcome
A combination of TRX suspension training combined with the power and strength training of kettlebells in an interval training class that will continue to challenge participants. All levels welcome
AfroBeat Dance Jam
A contemporary spin on traditional African dance, set to recorded drum music, South African House, and Afro Beat. This easy to follow dance class is a high energy calorie blaster. Be prepared to drip with sweat and move this hips! All fitness levels are welcome.
A high intensity, fast-paced, Latin-fusion dance party! Look and feel your best while you dance your body to a healthier state. Dance styles will include salsa, merengue, and cumbia as well as bollywood, bhangra, hip hop, dancehall, and funk. Zumba class is never boring, never easy, and always rewarding. Bring your dance and fitness skills to the next level and join the party today! All levels welcome
Pilates Mat by Candlelight
A dynamic, mat-based class arising from the Joseph Pilates tradition. Using body strength and gravity as resistance, movements in class help to improve breathing, circulation, posture, body alignment, flexibility and increase body awareness by developing core conditioning. This class will use extra equipment, such as small hand weights, and Pilates magic circles to maximize the experience, while using candles to create an intimate and peaceful setting to allow for participants to maximally internalize their workouts. Please bring your own mat for this class. All levels welcome
Pilates Mat for Metalheads
A dynamic, mat-based class arising from the Joseph Pilates tradition. Using body strength and gravity as resistance, movements in class help to improve breathing, circulation, posture, body alignment, flexibility and increase body awareness by developing core conditioning. This class will use extra equipment, such as small hand weights, and Pilates magic circles to maximize the experience. We use classic rock and heavy metal for music as we rock out our Pilates sequences. Please bring your own mat for this class. All levels welcome
Hip Hop Pilates Mat
A more intense, fast-paced class involving equipment, such as small hand weights, Pilates magic circles, bands, mini ab balls, body bars and the ballet barre to increase flexibility, develop core strength, and keep the heart rate higher. Exercises are done to the beat of the music. Using the Joseph Pilates tradition, classical and contemporary exercises are fused together to challenge individuals through creating longer, nonstop sequences. Please bring your own mat for this class. All levels welcome.
Barbell Body Blast
Using the weighted body barbells, participants will use compound and multi-movement exercises to keep the heart rate high while working on strengthening the muscles. All levels welcome
Kim K… J-Lo….. Nicki M… Beyonce…. These days, it’s all about putting it “behind” you. We use this class to build your backside- shape, sculpt, and build the “behind” using a high intensity, interval class focusing on a butts ‘n guts workout with the use of a variety of different fitness equipment, including the TRX bands, free weights, small ab balls, bodybars, the ballet barre and gliding discs. This booty-inspired, fun workout will have you bikini ready by spring break. All levels welcome
Hip Hop Classic Rock Dance Fitness (r)
For those who love classic rock, we now will dance to it! We will get down to great classic music, such as AC/DC, Santana, Bon Jovi, Rolling Stones and more! In this class, we learn a pre-choreographed routine for a song and then perform it, mob dance style in the studios. Great for those who do AND don’t know how to dance. We break down the routine and learn it bit by bit, and then incorporate the music in, and then we jam it out. Metalheads unite!
Gloves and focus mitts help participants intensify their boxing and kickboxing experiences. Led by the instructor, students will practice different punching and kicking combinations in pairs. Participants will also have the opportunity to work with a heavy bag as well. This intensity will help to develop muscular strength, agility, and cardiovascular fitness. All levels welcome
HIT Boot Camp
This fusion athletic workout is a “fusion” of the mind/body practices with the principles of stretch, strength training, core conditioning and dynamic movement. The focus is on smooth transitions between cardiovascular exercises, which increases the heart rate and strength training. Great for athletic conditioning, or if you want to get a heart pounding, intense workout.
Basic Training Boot Camp
A military-based boot camp training class combining cardiovascular and strength training drills, in timed intervals to help you achieve your fitness goals. Drills will also include agility, balance, and core conditioning. Join our instructor as they take you through the same exercises they used when teaching boot camp for the military.
Just because people get older doesn’t mean they can’t work on flexibility, strength, cardiovascular fitness and power! Join us as we exercise those who are considered in the “Baby Boomer” generation with exercises geared towards functional strength training. Using a variety of exercise equipment, trainers will take this specialty population through a number of exercises from Pilates mat for core strength and flexibility, to weights and kettlebell training to increase muscular strength, endurance and power. All levels welcome
Authentic world cultural dance fusion of American and Caribbean rhythms ,along with other international and exotic dance styles where participants will dance to 12 different dance movements in each class, and up to 12 different dance movements in one class. Join in as you dance, laugh, and sweat your way to burning tons of calories in this dance class.
CHISEL’D AND SCULP’D
Using a variety of equipment, we keep your muscles shocked. Core conditioning helps to sculpt, tone and tighten your abs. Strength training will target every muscle and chisel it like its carved from stone. All levels welcome!
Using the principles of yoga, namely smooth and even breathing, concentration, and strengthening the muscles while addressing tight muscles that typically can lead to to injury and discomfort. Come to class and tell us what your concerns are, where you’re tight and where you’re inflexible, and we will address the areas of concern with deep stretching and myofascial release.
BOX AND BELLS
High intensity boxing exercises, followed by ketlebell exercises that increase the intensity of full body exercises through power training. These exercises combined will maximize your fatburning capacity and caloric burn, leading to weight loss.
