OUR POPULAR CLASSES

Classes must be canceled within 8 hours of the start of class. Please be mindful of this policy and cancel at least 8 hours before the class.
We have a three strikes policy per year. After your third missed class, participants who do not cancel and/or are no-shows will be assessed a $5 fee.
We use this fee to help maintain the instructor’s salary and thank you for your understanding with respecting our policy..

Barre Ballet Conditioning

A ballet dancer’s workout, consisting of low-impact full-body conditioning to tone and lengthen all muscle groups. We will work on strengthening with small isolated movements and then stretching to achieve long, lean muscles. The most important asset to a strong dancer is a strong core, so emphasis will be placed on upper and lower abs and back muscles. Both floor work and barre work are incorporated, so please bring a mat with you to class. All levels welcome

Power Barre

Get the ballet body and mindset with this 45-minute power barre class that gets your body burning maximum calories throughout the class. The class, which will strengthen, lengthen, tone, and condition all muscle groups, blends classic ballet moves with cardio and weight training to provide for a high energy, low impact workout that focuses on the body’s natural postural strength, alignment, and flexibility. You can be the Black Swan if you want to be. No dance background required. Please bring your own mat for this class. . All levels welcome

Kettlebell/TRX Fusion

A combination of TRX suspension training combined with the power and strength training of kettlebells in an interval training class that will continue to challenge participants. All levels welcome

AfroBeat Dance Jam

A contemporary spin on traditional African dance, set to recorded drum music, South African House, and Afro Beat. This easy to follow dance class is a high energy calorie blaster. Be prepared to drip with sweat and move this hips! All fitness levels are welcome.

Zumba

A high intensity, fast-paced, Latin-fusion dance party! Look and feel your best while you dance your body to a healthier state. Dance styles will include salsa, merengue, and cumbia as well as bollywood, bhangra, hip hop, dancehall, and funk. Zumba class is never boring, never easy, and always rewarding. Bring your dance and fitness skills to the next level and join the party today! All levels welcome

Pilates Mat by Candlelight

A dynamic, mat-based class arising from the Joseph Pilates tradition. Using body strength and gravity as resistance, movements in class help to improve breathing, circulation, posture, body alignment, flexibility and increase body awareness by developing core conditioning. This class will use extra equipment, such as small hand weights, and Pilates magic circles to maximize the experience, while using candles to create an intimate and peaceful setting to allow for participants to maximally internalize their workouts. Please bring your own mat for this class. All levels welcome

Pilates Mat for Metalheads

A dynamic, mat-based class arising from the Joseph Pilates tradition. Using body strength and gravity as resistance, movements in class help to improve breathing, circulation, posture, body alignment, flexibility and increase body awareness by developing core conditioning. This class will use extra equipment, such as small hand weights, and Pilates magic circles to maximize the experience. We use classic rock and heavy metal for music as we rock out our Pilates sequences. Please bring your own mat for this class. All levels welcome

Hip Hop Pilates Mat

A more intense, fast-paced class involving equipment, such as small hand weights, Pilates magic circles, bands, mini ab balls, body bars and the ballet barre to increase flexibility, develop core strength, and keep the heart rate higher. Exercises are done to the beat of the music. Using the Joseph Pilates tradition, classical and contemporary exercises are fused together to challenge individuals through creating longer, nonstop sequences. Please bring your own mat for this class. All levels welcome.

Barbell Body Blast

Using the weighted body barbells, participants will use compound and multi-movement exercises to keep the heart rate high while working on strengthening the muscles. All levels welcome

Booty Camp!

Kim K… J-Lo….. Nicki M… Beyonce…. These days, it’s all about putting it “behind” you. We use this class to build your backside- shape, sculpt, and build the “behind” using a high intensity, interval class focusing on a butts ‘n guts workout with the use of a variety of different fitness equipment, including the TRX bands, free weights, small ab balls, bodybars, the ballet barre and gliding discs. This booty-inspired, fun workout will have you bikini ready by spring break. All levels welcome

Hip Hop Classic Rock Dance Fitness (r)

For those who love classic rock, we now will dance to it! We will get down to great classic music, such as AC/DC, Santana, Bon Jovi, Rolling Stones and more! In this class, we learn a pre-choreographed routine for a song and then perform it, mob dance style in the studios. Great for those who do AND don’t know how to dance. We break down the routine and learn it bit by bit, and then incorporate the music in, and then we jam it out. Metalheads unite!

Boxing/Kickboxing

Gloves and focus mitts help participants intensify their boxing and kickboxing experiences. Led by the instructor, students will practice different punching and kicking combinations in pairs. Participants will also have the opportunity to work with a heavy bag as well. This intensity will help to develop muscular strength, agility, and cardiovascular fitness. All levels welcome

HIT Boot Camp

This fusion athletic workout is a “fusion” of the mind/body practices with the principles of stretch, strength training, core conditioning and dynamic movement. The focus is on smooth transitions between cardiovascular exercises, which increases the heart rate and strength training. Great for athletic conditioning, or if you want to get a heart pounding, intense workout.

Basic Training Boot Camp

A military-based boot camp training class combining cardiovascular and strength training drills, in timed intervals to help you achieve your fitness goals. Drills will also include agility, balance, and core conditioning. Join our instructor as they take you through the same exercises they used when teaching boot camp for the military.

Senior Fitness

Just because people get older doesn’t mean they can’t work on flexibility, strength, cardiovascular fitness and power! Join us as we exercise those who are considered in the “Baby Boomer” generation with exercises geared towards functional strength training. Using a variety of exercise equipment, trainers will take this specialty population through a number of exercises from Pilates mat for core strength and flexibility, to weights and kettlebell training to increase muscular strength, endurance and power. All levels welcome

CARRITHYMS

Authentic world cultural dance fusion of American and Caribbean rhythms ,along with other international and exotic dance styles where participants will dance  to 12 different dance movements in each class, and up to 12 different dance movements in one class.  Join in as you dance, laugh, and sweat your way to burning tons of calories in this dance class.

CHISEL’D AND SCULP’D

Using a variety of equipment, we keep your muscles shocked. Core conditioning helps to sculpt, tone and tighten your abs. Strength training will target every muscle and chisel it like its carved from stone.  All levels welcome!

YOSTRETCH

Using the principles of yoga, namely smooth and even breathing, concentration, and strengthening the muscles while addressing tight muscles that typically can lead to to injury and discomfort.  Come to class and tell us what your concerns are, where you’re tight and where you’re inflexible, and we will address the  areas of concern with deep stretching and myofascial release.

BOX AND BELLS

High intensity boxing exercises, followed by ketlebell exercises that increase the intensity of full body exercises through power training.  These exercises combined will maximize your fatburning  capacity and caloric burn, leading to weight loss.

 

Pilates Reformer/Tower Classes

Pilates Reformer (offered in levels)

Pilates Reformer FUN-damentals focuses on the basic Pilates principles of developing core strength, correct alignment, breathing, flexibility and improving posture. Instruction is given to students on the orientation of the machine and spring system and the foundation of exercises on the Pilates reformer. This class “series of 5” is mandatory for all students who have no experience with the Pilates reformer machine. Beginner level or those with physical limitations welcome
Beginner Pilates Reformer focuses on advancing the beginner student from the FUN-damentals class into the intermediate reformer class.
The basic choreography continues to be reviewed through precise instruction to increase coordination and strengthen the core, and additional props may be introduced to increase challenge and provide a full body workout. Beginner level welcome
Intermediate Pilates Reformer continues to build upon the foundations learned from the beginner classes and introduces more complex and challenging choreography, while continuing to work on building flexibility and core strength. This faster paced class will help students to increase body awareness so they may continue to progress. Intermediate level welcome
Advanced Pilates Reformer takes students who mastered the Pilates progressions from the Intermediate Pilates Reformer classes and pushes them to build on their strength, endurance, flexibility, and coordination. Instruction is fast-paced and the choreography is high intensity. Advanced level welcome.
In all Pilates Reformer classes, extra equipment, such as the small stability balls, hand weights, jump board, and circles may be used to enhance the classes

Pilates Reformer Theme Classes

Our themed classes give members fun classes that are challenging and offer a variety of different exercise sequences on the reformer. It sometimes can be refreshing to step back from the level classes and try different exercises that may focus and target specific areas or have a specific cardiovascular and core strengthening agenda. All specialty theme classes are all levels unless stated otherwise. Classes are 55 minutes or unless stated otherwise.

Pilates Reformer: Obama Arms

If you’re looking to develop a strong upper body, tone up your arms, and get those strong arms, look no further.  The Pilates reformer workout inspired by the toned and sexy arms of the First Lady of the 44th President, Michelle Obama! Join us as we use the reformer to engage the core while performing a variety of different upper body exercises  that will targe tevery inch of the upper body.  There was also be an intensive, ab series section that will also put an extra emphasis on arms for each exercise.  With time and continuous attendance, along with making those lifestyle changes that will help you to sculpt your arms, you will see results.

Pilates Reformer: Hot Reformer

We practice Pilates, but in a heated room.  We will set the temperature of the room between 80- 90 degrees minimum, as we sweat out the toxins and focus on intense core training and stretching.  We can maximally enhance elongation of muscles, while also building internal heat, increase stamina, and increasing flexibility.   Sequences in class will aid with increasing core strength.

Pilates Reformer Booty Camp

Build the backside and get a great lower body workout with contemporary Pilates reformer exercises that target those problem areas: inner and outer thighs, glutes, and hips. Exercises are tough, but fun. All exercises are done with fun booty songs to keep us motivated to continue to tone, tighten, and turn out that derriere! Jo Lo, This class also involves cardio workouts, so you get double bang for your buck- tone, tighten and burn those calories. Beyonce, and Kim K, will have nothing on you!

Pilates Reformer: Tramp Stamp!

Using the jump board, we keep the metabolism revved up to the max, the legs working hard, and the caloric burn high with the intensity of the jumping. The calorie burn is high, but the impact on the knees, hips, and ankles is low, making this the perfect class for people who love to feel the burn, but have joint issues or want to avoid the impact of typical high intensity cardio classes.

Pilates Reformer Hip Hop Rhythms

Classical and contemporary Pilates reformer exercises will be performed to the beat of the music, which makes this class one of the more demanding classes. We do not censor the music to respect the artist’s message. Intermediate and advanced levels are welcome

Pilates Tower Power

This class uses the wall unit of the Pilates reformer tower and Pilates mat work to increase flexibility and intensify the exercises seen in mat classes for increasing core strength. All levels welcome
